Week 18 of the West Somerset Miniature Rifle League saw Minehead A entertain Williton B and Williton A host Minehead B.

Minehead A won their gun score leg with a total of 382 compared to 374 for Williton B.

However, Minehead A team shot below their average whilst Williton B comfortably exceeded theirs so won the handicap leg.

For Minehead Bill Smyth scored an excellent 99 for the second week running with the junior shooter Elliot Morren supporting him with 97.

For Williton B the junior Freya Bates shooting for the first time on an indoor range scored a magnificent 96 supported by Eric Jones with 94.

Meanwhile on the Williton range the A team scored 378 beating Minehead B who scored 371.

However, the Minehead B team won the handicap leg by meeting their average.

For Williton A John Grellier top scored with 96 supported by Graham Scott with 95.

For Minehead B Grahame Jones top-scored with 95 and Malcolm Burt continued his run of good form with 93.

Minehead A team continue to lead the gun score competition and Williton B the handicap competition.

Next week sees everyone at Williton for the first leg of the Northropp Cup where the top eight scores from each Club in each leg determine the result of the final competition of the League.
