Weeks 9 and 10 of the West Somerset Miniature Rifle League between the Minehead and Williton Rifle Clubs saw all four teams competing against each other for the Luttrell Cup.

In Week 9 all teams shot at Williton and then at Minehead the following week.

The Luttrell Cup is awarded to the team that most exceeds its average across the two legs. Minehead A took the honours this year in a very close fought competition that saw all four teams beating their average.

For Minehead A Elliot Morren, a junior, scored an excellent 98 at Williton with strong support from Brian Slade with 97 and in the Minehead leg Bill Smyth scored 97.

Second place went to Williton B team who shot very consistently achieving the same score on both ranges with Callum Newsome scoring an excellent 96 on the Minehead leg of the competition.

Minehead B team had their best score on their home range where Neil Paine shot a career best 98, supported by Andrew Moore with 95. However, this performance was not sufficient for them to achieve better than third.

Williton A team had a very good score on their home range with John Grellier scoring 99 and Graham Scott 98 but could not match this performance when shooting on the Minehead range, thereby coming fourth in the competition.

The League takes a short break for Christmas with Williton A team heading the Gun Score Table and Minehead B the Handicap Table.
