West Somerset Miniature Rifle League

2018/19 Week 4

It was Week 4 of the West Somerset Miniature Rifle League between the Minehead and Williton Rifle Clubs.
Minehead A team travelled to Williton to take on the Williton B team amd Williton A team made the opposite journey to take on the Minehead B team.
Minehead A team beat Williton B 386 to 358 with Mark Parfrey and Mat Hyder both scoring 97 for Minehead A.
For Williton B Eric Jones scored 94 and Steve Wilson 90.
Minehead A team exceeded their expected average by 3 points whereas Williton B team were 7 points below.
It was a close fought match between Minehead B who scored 374 and Williton A who just beat them with 380.
John Grellier was the top performer for Williton with a score of 97 ably supported with a 96 from Graham Scott.
For Minehead Malcolm Burt achieved an excellent 95 with Andrew Moore and Grahame Jones backing him up with 94 each.
However, Minehead B team exceeded their expected average by 5 points whereas Williton A team were 2 points below theirs.
So after 4 rounds Williton A team lead the gun-score table with Minehead B team leading the handicap competition.
