West Somerset Miniature Rifle League

Minehead Rifle Club and Williton Rifle Club have now completed Round 9 of the West Somerset League. Rounds 8 and 9 saw a keenly contested match for the Luttrell Cup. This is shot over two weeks, first on the Williton Range and then on the Minehead Range the following week. Each team shoots against its average and this can often benefit those teams which have a lower average because they have a greater opportunity to exceed it than those with a higher average. True to form Minehead B team won with Minehead C team close behind, followed by Williton A , Williton B and Minehead A. Elliot Morren for Minehead B team scored an excellent 98 in one round with Pippa Sullivan achieving 97 for Minehead C. Eric Jones, John Grellier and Jan Saunders-Singer also achieved 97 for Williton A team.

There is now a break for Christmas and the League resumes on 16^th January 2018.
